009 Re:Cyborg
From Kenji Kamiyama, the visionary director behind Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, comes a gripping, visually captivating sci-fi thriller.

Many years ago, nine humans were captured and transformed into cyborgs for the purposes of becoming agents of evil. Instead, they rebelled; becoming champions of justice anytime the earth was in need.

Now, in a post-9/11 world, the meaning of “justice” has become clouded. The cyborgs, untouched by time, and some without memory of their status as heroes, have since taken up lives as ordinary civilians. But when a mysterious force known only as “His Voice” compels people across the world to commit unspeakable acts of violence, even Cyborg 009, Joe Shimamura, falls victim to the irresistible faceless power.

In an era when cyber-terrorism is rapidly advancing, how can the cyborgs combat an enemy that has no face and seemingly no motive?

Brandon McLaren's Action Packed Q&A
He's been a power ranger, he's been a roughneck cop, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. If that's not enough, he's come all the way here just to see you. He might look intimidating, and that might be because he is, but Brandon's hosting this panel so any who want to can pick his brain about his life, his work, breaking into the business, and (almost) anything else that he'll feel like talking about. Don't be shy - ask him anything (just be cool about it)

Jiro Dreams of Sushi
JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI is the story of 85-year-old Jiro Ono, considered by many to be the world’s greatest sushi chef. He is the proprietor of Sukiyabashi Jiro, a 10-seat, sushi-only restaurant inauspiciously located in a Tokyo subway station. Despite its humble appearances, it is the first restaurant of its kind to be awarded a prestigious three-star Michelin Guide rating, and sushi lovers from around the globe make repeated pilgrimage, calling months in advance and shelling out top dollar for a coveted seat at Jiro’s sushi bar.

JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI is a thoughtful and elegant meditation on work, family, and the art of perfection, chronicling Jiro’s life as both an unparalleled success in the culinary world and as a loving yet complicated father. - See more at: http://www.magpictures.com/jirodreamsofsushi/#sthash.eBgcwvJG.dpuf

Well, we might not have Drew Carey, Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles, but who needs 'em! Most of us have seen the improvised television show, the games they play, and the laughs they bring us every time we watch it, but have you ever seen it like this? Six of your Kotoricon peers will be taking the mini-center stage to play a lot of those same games that will split your sides - with a particular flavor based on the anime, video games, and geek culture we all know and love. And did we mention that they'll be making everything up off the top of their head? And if they're lucky, maybe they'll have a special guest or two to help them out! What could possibly go wrong?

Concrete Revolutio
What if superhumans were real? Even better, what if every fabled superhuman existed at the same time, in the same place? Titans from outer space, life forms from a mystical world, phantoms and goblins from ancient times, cyborgs created by scientists, relics that rose out of the ruins of ancient civilizations. In another Japan, it’s not just a question of “what if”—it’s a reality. Some of the superhumans choose to keep their identities a secret, while others bask in their superhuman fame. Jiro Hitoyoshi, member of the Superhuman Bureau, keeps track of their doings. From the creative force behind Fullmetal Alchemist, including director Seiji Mizushima (Fullmetal Alchemist and Mobile Suit Gundam 00) and writer Shou Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist), comes a new adventure with high-flying action.

DEADSTAR :Original 3D Animated Series
Join the Director/Writer/Animator of the Deadstar Series and find out just how he does it!

Deadstar is an animated science fiction adventure that follows Harrison, a man battling an undergroung drug syndicate to steal a rare, endangered flower. The flower may hold a key to the world's future, and to Harrison's redemption. I animate the entire show on my Mac computer at home, using the animation program Blender. I cast the voice actors through free voice over sites, and they send me their recordings through email. I decided to start this show after being a huge otaku for many years, starting with of course Dragonball Z. Although many of the scenes and characters are influenced from animes like Black Lagoon, Akira, and Ninja Scroll. I began developing this series in September 2011, and the first episode was released on October 21, 2012.

York City to be a supernova in music industry. They perform at worldwide Rock festivals & Anime/culture conventions, mostly in North America and Europe.

“The Asterplace” can be defined as creating beautiful music, much like the
beauty of a flower blossoming each year, representing the beautiful melody the
band’s music creates. As the sun shines upon the world, as the moonlight upon
the atmosphere, The Asterplace projects their music to the world.

So far The Asterplace has performed at more than 50 conventions and festivals
as musical guests. One of their performances at Napoli ComiCon 2014 & 2015
in Italy are fresh memories that you can remind them easily as their 4th time

In order to create their compositions with a whole new energy, they use diversity
to produce each tune. This group’s tremendous dedication to their work is
evident, as they are constantly working, practicing, and thinking about new
pieces. They are never satisfied until perfection is reached. The mixed cultural
and newfound movement of The Asterplace's music constantly surprises their
audience. Their sound deletes the barrier between ethnicities and other common
boundaries, leaving an everlasting impression. With a variety of style, they rock
each show away, each time becoming more unique. Believing in “live”
performances, The Asterplace includes everyone in a way that will get you
involved in their phenomenal show throughout the entire day!

We Con Therefore We Are by Charles Dunbar
What does it mean to be an otaku? What counts as anime fandom in this day and age? And why do we see so much non-Asian flavor at cons? Much of the convention culture and dynamic has changed in the past 5+ years, and the con has changed with it, often beginning to mirror the idea of Convergence Theory as proposed by fan-scholar Henry Jenkins. This panel will highlight the changes in the fandom, how the internet has influenced the direction cons have taken, and will ask questions on where all this is going in the near-future. Healthy debate is encouraged.
